Im setting this page up to document all the awesome finds I've got through my local Habitat for Humanity Re-Store location. For those of you who aren't familiar with Re-Store, it's self described as a "home improvement thrift store", and is one of my favorite places to shop! My boyfriend Jey & I bought our first house in February of 2009 & have been working on it as time & budget allow ever since. There is no way we'd have been able to make even half of the changes that we have without using Re-Store as our main source for improvement materials. In addition to Re-Store being a great budget saver, all their inventory is donated either from people who have usable items (ie; a sink pulled out in a bathroom remodel that is still in good condition) or from builders/contractors who may have extra/un-used materials. Because all items have been donated, Re-Store proceeds are then given back to the Habitat for Humanity program which helps low income families build their own homes, families who wouldn't otherwise have been able to do so. So while you're finding all these great deals for your own projects, you're also helping families in need. Who doesn't like to do something good & shop at the same time?
